EVERY Child Must Have a Voice. CASA's mission is to speak up for and support the best interests of abused and neglected children in the court system. CASA is assigned to every abuse and neglect case in Warren, Knox, and Henderson County. In 2016 alone, CASA served 157 children, raging in age from birth to the age of 17. On average, 60 new children enter Warren, Knox, and Henderson Counties' the Abuse and Neglect Court System each year. This does not include the number of children who remain in the system from the previous year. CASA of West Central Illinois serves each of these children.
CASA currently has 40 trained advocates who volunteer about 1,300 hours a year on behalf of our assigned children. Our advocates come from a variety of professions and life backgrounds. Some work full or part time, while others are retired. All make a difference in the lives of children in our communities.
Warren County United Way was proud to add CASA as a member agency in 2017.
